Looking to learn more about essiac tea and diabetes? You're in luck. Essiac is taken by those with diabetes all the time, and we have a bunch of testimonials you can check out.
Leonel Mondragon appears above. He is an MD senior student at the River Plate Adventist University School of Medicine based out of Puiggari, Argentina. He has published 2 papers already and is about to publish another retrospective study regarding cancer incidence with malaria. He's also getting ready to publish a clinical trial phase 1 study with healthcare workers exposed to ionizing radiation with X rays at their jobs.
There is a phytochemical called anthraquinone glycoside in essiac tea. This compound is found in the Turkish rhubarb ingredient within the eight-herb Essiac tea formula. Click here to read about all of the eight essiac tea ingredients that comprise this formula.
One preclinical trial conducted in 2019 was able to demonstrate that anthraquinone glycoside had glucose-lowering properties and also can attenuate type 2 diabetes.1 Another 2019 study was able to show that anthraquinone glycoside promoted the secretion of glucagon-like peptide-1 hormone.2 This hormone binds to the beta cells from the pancreas and stimulates the secretion of insulin. This process helps reduce insulin resistance and improves the sensitivity of peripheral tissues to insulin.
In the book The Essiac Report by Richard Thomas, there's an account of one woman who had diabetes while she was also sick with cancer. She used Essiac tea and skipped her insulin, and when she recovered from her other illness, she found that she no longer needed to use insulin. Dr. Frederick Banting, the co-creator of insulin and the Noble Prize winner of Medicine, went ahead and investigated this case himself. He determined that somehow Essiac tea, "stimulated the pancreas to function normally, thereby healing the diabetes." You can read this yourself if you like on page 17 of The Essiac Report. The book is available on Amazon.

In stores as well as online, you will see essiac being sold under the name "Flor Essence." Flor Essence contains the same eight herbs and therefore those with diabetes may decide to use it. However, be aware that Flor Essence costs around 8 times as much as our product costs. It's silly to pay so much more for the same thing. However, Flor Essence has a bunch of slick marketing behind it's product, luring many customers in.
Flor Essence comes in pre-made liquid as well as in powder, similar to Bulk Essiac Tea. Whatever you do, don't overpay for the pre-made liquid. You'll spend thousands of dollars per year compared to our blend which costs less than $1 per day.
Our essiac takes just 10 minutes once every two weeks to prepare. When you make your own essiac you will be sure that it's completely fresh as well as that it's free of additives and preservatives. The other benefit to making your own essiac is that you'll be able to leave the herb particles in the tea - something that Rene Caisse also found worked best in her work.
If you see essiac that contains only 4 herbs, realize that is an outdated formula. Rene Caisse found that 8 herb essiac worked better in her research at the Brusch Medical Research Center and that was her final suggestion on what to use. The additional 4 herbs acted as potentiators of the first four.
The serving size of 8 herb essiac is 3 oz. while the serving size of 4 herb essiac is only 2 oz. The extra ounce in the 8 herb blend is to cover the additional 4 herbs. This is why you aren't missing out on anything by choosing 8 herb essiac. You're still getting the original 4 herbs in the original ratios.
This information is all found in the book The Essiac Report. Learn more about eight herb vs. four herb essiac and the research behind the eight herb formula here.
