Regarding Essiac Tea in General
What is essiac tea?
Go here for our essiac tea 101 article. You can also get your own copy of our popular Essiac Tea Users Guide here.
Does essiac really work?
It does - as long as you choose real essiac and not a knock-off! Learn more about finding real essiac here.
What can essiac do for me?
It appears that essiac tea's primary actions are to remove heavy metals, detoxify the body particularly the liver an colon, and rebuild the immune system. All of this acts to restore the body to a level to where it is better able to defeat an illness using it's own resources. In other words, essiac rebuilds the immune system and improves the disease-fighting capacity of the body so that the body can rid itself of illness and disease on it's own. For a list of possible particular benefits from essiac tea, please visit: Benefits of Essiac Tea.
Will essiac cure cancer or other disease?
Essiac is not a drug and is not FDA-approved as treatment. Essiac is not a cure for any disease. However, due to the beneficial properties of essiac tea listed above, many people who take essiac report an improvement in their immune system and increased well-being and health. Once such an improvement in health and well-being occurs, the body becomes more capable of ridding itself of illness and disease, just as nature intended.
Can I take essiac along with radiation or chemotherapy?
Yes, in fact essiac tends to improve the quality of life for a person on chemo and/or radiation by helping alleviate some of the unpleasant side effects such as nausea and poor appetite. However, because chemo and/or radiation can partially destroy the chemicals and compounds that allow essiac tea to do it's job, we recommend that you take 6 oz. of tea three times per day, rather than the regular aggressive serving size/improvement of health serving size of 3 oz. of tea three times per day if you are undergoing those treatments while using essiac. From our experience and experimentation, we've found that people on chemotherapy and radiation tend to have good results taking 6 oz. three times per day. However, some have chosen to do the classic 3 oz. three times per day and also had good results. Personally, when we have loved ones taking chemo and/or radiation, we recommend 6 oz. three times per day to be on the safe side. After six months, as long as health is good we suggest dropping back to the 3 oz. three times per day moving forward. Click here for more information about aggressive serving size/improvement of health serving size. Click here for more information about essiac and chemo. Click here to read more about essiac and radiation.
How come other brands say you only need to take 2 oz. twice per day?
That's a great question. There are a variety of reasons, but the most important is that four herb essiac has fewer herbs than the eight herb essiac. In order to preserve the ratio of the four herb formula but allow for the additional herbs that Rene Caisse added to the formula after her research was complete, the serving size needs to be larger. Read more about why you can see different serving sizes and frequencies listed by other brands.
Does essiac tea interact with prescription or over-the-counter medications?
No, there are no interactive concerns with any meds. Go here to read more about it.
Can I take essiac with other alternative or traditional treatments?
Yes, and in many cases the the two will complement each other, compounding the positive health effects. Essiac has also been known to help reduce negative side effects of some traditional medical treatments such as nausea and vomiting. To our knowledge there is no treatment that makes essiac tea off-limits. You are advised to consult with your medical practitioner with questions about your particular situation. If you are concerned, ease into your essiac tea usage gradually, taking 1/2 or 1/3 of the full serving size at first. After a few days gradually increase until you are at the desired level of essiac tea.
How long do I have to wait to notice a benefit from taking essiac?
This is highly individualized. Some people notice an increased sense of health, well-being, and energy just days after starting essiac tea! Others find that it takes weeks or even months to notice a tangible benefit. Most people start noticing an improvement in their general health and well-being after couple of weeks of taking essiac tea regularly. Essiac works best when taken consistently every day and it must be taken on an empty stomach. We recommend taking essiac according to our essiac tea serving size recommendations for at least 6 months if you seek improvement of your health. We offer a money-back guarantee that your health will improve if you stick with this product at the aggressive serving size/improvement of health serving size for at least six months. If you are one of the very few who don't notice a benefit from the tea, you won't have to pay - we'll refund every penny.
How long do I continue taking essiac tea?
That is ultimately your personal decision. However, we recommend that you take the aggressive serving size/improvement of health serving size, which is 3 oz. three times per day, until your test results return to normal and your health is completely restored. After you've reached optimal health, meaning that no further improvement is desired, we recommend that you continue to take the maintenance serving size of 3 oz. twice per day. In the unfortunate event that health problems return, we recommend immediately increasing your serving size to the aggressive serving size/improvement of health serving size until your test results and your health return to normal once again.
If I am healthy, can essiac tea hurt me? Can I take the aggressive serving size/improvement of health serving size even if I am generally healthy?
Taking essiac tea will not hurt you. On the contrary, it can act as a preventive aid or insurance policy against developing health problems in the future. We know many people who choose to take the aggressive serving size/improvement of health serving size of 3 oz. three times per day for general health and daily detoxification. While it may not be necessary to take the aggressive serving size/improvement of health serving size as a healthy person, essiac can't hurt you - it can only help you! Personally, the staff at Bulk-Essiac-Tea.com are all healthy (thank goodness!) and we take the aggressive serving size/improvement of health serving size anyway in order to have the best chance at maintaining our good health. Since we are healthy, we don't always take it every single day, but we take it most of the time.
Can you take essiac while pregnant?
Yes. There are no issues with being pregnant and taking essiac.
Can you take essiac while breastfeeding?
Yes. There are no contraindiations.
What is essiac tea typically used for?
The most common reason people begin taking essiac tea is because they wish to improve health or prevent developing health problems. Essiac helps the entire body detoxify which means people take it when they have a wide variety of health problems, including these particular health issues. It is by no means an exhaustive list - your health problem may not appear. If you are wondering about a problem not listed there, please contact us.
Is there any way essiac tea can hurt me?
There is nothing in essiac tea that can hurt you or that is harmful to the body. It is remarkably well tolerated and allergies to essiac are practically non-existent. The herbs are gentle and natural. Always consult with your practitioner if you have questions or concerns. The only problem that can crop up for some folks is that you might experience mild stomach/intestinal irritation and/or loose stools if you start immediately on the aggressive serving size/improvement of health serving size of 3 oz. three times per day. The good news is that this is a sign of detoxification and will not harm your body as long as you're able to tolerate any discomfort. If you are bothered by these symptoms, start with 1/2 to 1/3 of the recommended serving size and ease your way into taking the full serving size over the course of several days to a week.
What's the biggest drawback to using essiac? Good question! Probably the commitment to take it three times per day on an empty stomach. A little planning goes a long way. Many people find it works well to bring the essiac with them in thermos with a few ice cubes to take their mid-day serving. Another drawback is that essiac isn't a "quick fix" product for most. However, the good news is that this product does such a thorough job that the results are often worth waiting for!
I have to eat frequently throughout the day. How do I do that and still take essiac on an empty stomach?
You can try something like this:
6:30am Wake up
7:30am Take Essiac
8:30am Have Breakfast, finish by 9am
11:00am Take Essiac (you can bring it with you in a thermos with a few ice cubes if you are out and about).
12:00pm Have Lunch
3:00pm Snack
6:00pm Have Dinner, finish by 7:00pm
8:00pm Take Essiac
9:00pm Snack
I was told to stay away from red clover, but your essiac has it. Can I get essiac without red clover?
You don't have to worry about the red clover in our essiac. It's a very small percentage of the formula, and the essiac with red clover taken out will not be as effective. The combination of the eight herbs removes any problematic side effects that red clover alone might cause. Read more about this topic here.
Is this available in capsules?
Essiac capsules do exist, but we are not convinced they are strong enough. Rene Caisse was not convinced either - in her research on the tea the capsules did not perform as well. Because of that, we don't sell or recommend them. Click here to see a film about Rene Caisse's research on essiac tea.
Do you sell tea in bottles?
No. Brewing this tea takes just 10 minutes once every 2 weeks. Buying the tea in bottles makes this tea at least ten times more expensive to use and includes the use of preservatives which we don't recommend. It's just not worth it to buy the tea already brewed when it's so easy to make yourself. It's as easy as making a pot of plain pasta! You can read more about this topic here.
What about essiac extracts? Can I use those?
We don't recommend it for the same reasons we don't recommend using capsules. It's more expensive and less potent. Read more about the problems with essiac tea extracts.
I heard that...
There are so many essiac myths out there. And they are exactly that...myths. Go here for more on essiac tea myths and misconceptions: Essiac myths.
Do you need time off from essiac?
No! Read more about it here: Why you don't need to take a break from essiac.
Do you have testimonials for this product?
Yes! Please visit this page: Essiac tea testimonials. They are sorted in alphabetical order by condition.

Which herbs make up eight herb essiac?
Eight herb essiac includes: blessed thistle, burdock root, kelp, red clover, sheep sorrel, slippery elm bark, turkey rhubarb root, and watercress. We use the specific form of each herb exactly as suggested by Rene Caisse. For instance, we include the Sheep Sorrel Root just as she suggested, in the percentage she suggested. The herbs, while having benefits of their own, may have a synergistic effect when all taken together in a specific ratio - meaning that they are more powerful when taken together than when taken alone. To learn more about the properties of the herbs that make up eight herb essiac, please visit this page: Essiac Tea Ingredients.
Why would I choose eight herb essiac instead of four herb essiac?
In our experience, our customers who have used four herb essiac did not find those formulas to be as powerful as eight herb essiac. Four herb essiac was originally used with one of the herbs being injected with the other three being taken as a tea. The current-day eight herb essiac was designed to be most effective in fighting toxins in the body when taken orally as a tea, and is the formula that Rene Caisse and Dr. Charles Brusch researched and recommended. Click here to read more about the essiac research. There are additional studies referenced here. You can learn how and why Dr. Brusch took control of the essiac formula here. As he faced retirement he passed it along to us. Finally, learn more about a book called The Essiac Report by Richard Thomas, which is the gold standard of factual essiac information.
We have thousands of satisfied customers who are healthy and continue to take eight herb essiac at maintenance serving after their test results have returned to normal. They will attest to the efficacy of eight herb essiac and to the fact that they believe it is superior to four herb blends. To read more about the merits of eight herb essiac and the history behind it, please visit: Eight Herb Essiac.
Why should I choose your brand of essiac?
For a summary, visit this page.
How does eight herb essiac taste?
Eight herb essiac has a slightly bitter taste - if it's not slightly bitter, it's not real essiac! Some describe it as "grassy" or "bitter" and it is somewhat like green tea in taste. The watercress is the main reason for the bitterness - four herb essiac doesn't contain watercress, which means that four herb essiac isn't as bitter. However, the evidence from clinical trials showed that eight herb essiac is the more effective blend. Even though it is a little bit more bitter than four herb essiac, it's worth it to take the eight herb essiac. The slightly bitter taste is a small price to pay for a more effective herbal remedy. Most people grow accustomed to the taste after only a few days of taking essiac tea. Because the suggested serving size for most use is only 3 oz. at a time, so for most it is not a problem to drink that small amount even if you don't enjoy the taste. Essiac tea isn't meant to be sipped and savored for pleasure - people take it for the benefits, not for the taste! You may add fruit juice or vegetable juice if it makes drinking essiac tea more pleasant for you. You may also add stevia to your essiac after it's made to help with the taste. Click here for more info. on stevia or to order Organic Stevia. Also, it's normal for your order to look and taste a bit different from batch to batch due to seasonal changes in the herbs. We don't overly process them just make them look and taste the same way each time. Learn more.
Essiac tea is designed to be taken cold, but if that is a problem for you taking it room temperature is fine - just don't heat it up, as that overprocesses the tea. You can try leaving it out for a few hours before you go to take your serving.
Can't I just use another brand that has a more mild taste?
A more mild taste means more mild results. In other words the tea isn't strong enough to do the job if the taste is different. We wouldn't recommend any tea that doesn't taste as strong as ours.
Why is there "sludge" at the bottom of my container? Can I throw it out?
The herb particles in the brew are important to consume as part of each serving. Therefore, please do not strain and throw out the herbs at the bottom of the brew - the ones that look like "sludge." It's important to get some of these particles into each and every serving. The most effective way to do this for most people is to use a large wooden spoon to stir the pitcher before pouring each serving. You can leave the lid off your container to make this more convenient. Stirring tends to work better than shaking especially when the pitcher is full.
Are there side effects?
Essiac tea has minimal side effects. The only one to watch for is an increased frequency of needing to use the bathroom. However, that is part of how the product works - to get substances out of the body that don't belong there. This effect is not uncontrollable like diarrhea and you should be able to continue your normal activities. Read more about essiac tea side effects here.
Why do you use powdered herbs?
Powdered herbs make for a more potent brew. This is because there is more surface area on powdered herbs for the extracts to seep into the tea. Anything in powdered form mixes easier and more thoroughly (Kool-Aid comes as a powder, not a stick, for a reason!) Furthermore, powdered herbs are fine enough that they can remain in the tea and be consumed along with the tea. Rene Caisse recommended that you consume the herb particles in addition to the tea, as they contain beneficial compounds. This is a similar argument to those who tell you to eat the whole fruit versus drinking the juice or taking a vitamin. By consuming the herbs along with the tea, you won't miss out on any of the important chemical compounds that are part of whole foods. The Ojibway Indians were the first ones to use this tea. They prepared this tea using grinding stones to make the powdered herbs, and they never threw anything away. Learn more about modern-day Ojibwa life here.
Are your herbs organic?
Yes, all of our herbs are certified organic. We can provide Certificates of Analysis upon request.
Are your herbs irradiated? Do they contain chemicals or pesticides?
All of our herbs are non-irradiated. All our herbs are chemical and pesticide free.
Are your herbs fresh?
Yes! Our herbs are incredibly fresh because we sell thousands of pounds of essiac herbs every month. We turn over the majority of our herb inventory every 1-2 weeks. Many customers have commented on how fresh our herbs look and smell. If you purchase essiac from an outlet that sells more than one herbal formula, you're more likely to receive stale herbs since their focus is on a huge variety of products. We deal with only essiac at Bulk-Essiac-Tea.com, so the inventory is always fresh.
Where do your herbs come from?
7 of our 8 herbs come from Starwest Botanicals in California. The quality control of this company is world class - the best in the business. Our sheep sorrel including the roots comes from a private grower in Arkansas, as we were not able to obtain sufficient quantities of this herb including the root commercially. For more information on our herb quality, go here: where our herbs come from, and the quality of our herbs.
I've read that you shouldn't purchase the essiac herbs already mixed, but that it is better to purchase the herbs individually and blend them yourself. Why?
The main reason this is suggested is because there is nothing stopping a company from providing you a cheaper formula that isn't really essiac in order to cut costs. They might include more of one herb that happens to be less expensive, and less of an herb that is more expensive. One problem with the advice to make your own essiac, however, is that the eight herb formula isn't public knowledge. Another problem is that herbs will cost you much more when you purchase them in small quantities individually rather than in huge bulk orders like we do. It is a matter of trust when you order pre-blended herbs, but we wish to assure you that we are a highly ethical company and we would never compromise your health or our business by trying to cut costs. Let's face it - if we were money-hungry people that wished to take advantage of you, we would certainly charge more for this precious blend of herbs! That isn't a very fast way to make money, especially since if the essiac didn't work well, no one would re-order again, killing our business in it's tracks. In addition, to help with your confidence in us, we cover all our herbs by our Money-Back Guarantee - it would be pretty silly of us to offer this while giving you an inferior product.
Do you offer pre-bottled essiac?
We don't, because it's not cost effective for the customers and the tea only takes ten minutes of time once every 14 days to prepare. Read more about pre-bottled versus powdered essiac.
Why does your essiac tea cost more than what I see on amazon and other places online?
Be very careful when you compare essiac brand costs online. The majority of the brands you'll see don't have the legitimate formula, so even if those are cheaper, they are not worth buying. Even if you do find a legitimate brand, they all seem to sell essiac in smaller quantites than we do. You have to compare cost of oz. per oz. to know which is actually the best deal! Our tea costs less than 75 cents per day to use. It's not an expensive product. You may have heard of the brand Flor Essence, which is a very reputable brand. Learn why we are a much cheaper but equivalent Flor Essence alternative here. If you have trouble paying for your essiac, we can help. Contact us and you can request free or reduced cost essiac based on need.
Which shipping services do you use?
We use USPS, or the United States Postal Service (the mail) for domestic parcels 10 lb. and under. This service offers the best price by far for the heavy parcels we routinely send out. Your order that is 10 lb. or less will ship FREE via 2-3 Day Priority Mail. If you prefer Fed Ex or UPS, we can ship using them if you contact us, but realize that the cost will be significantly more than it would be using USPS. For parcels over 10 lb. you have the choice of USPS or UPS on our shopping cart.
How much does shipping domestically over 10 lb. cost?
For shipping fees for larger orders you can begin to select an order at the shopping cart (click here to select an order which will bring you to the shopping cart), and go ahead and enter your address to see the shipping options. If you don't wish to actually place the order, you'll be able to leave the screen without ordering by clicking on the "x" at the top right. If you have trouble or have questions or concerns call Bryan at 1-978-504-9517 to inquire. Alternatively, you can email gina @ bulk-essiac-tea.com and ask for either a PayPal or a Credit Card invoice. For more on shipping costs, visit this page: Essiac tea shipping costs.
Why does shipping large orders cost that much?
We don't make a profit on shipping - in many cases, we lose money. USPS and UPS offer the best rates right now for the sizes of orders we sent most often. Since we considered to be a small business we haven't been able to secure price breaks with other shipping services. Our prices on essiac are so low that you won't save any money if you buy it at a store in order to save on shipping, even though there is no shipping fee. Retail outlets typically charge at least eight times as much as we do - and in some cases even more than that. Every product sold on amazon that is real essiac is going for at least eight times the cost of our tea. Even with the shipping added on, essiac from Bulk-Essiac-Tea.com costs less per ounce of genuine essiac tea than anywhere else. We back up this statement with our Price-Match Guarantee.
Do you ship internationally? What does it cost?
Yes, we ship to many countries internationally. To find out how much it costs, visit United States Postal Service and click on "calculate postage." Calculate the weight of the size order you would like, plus a few ounces to account for the weight of the packing materials. We ship from zip code 01830. Alternately, you can begin select an order at the shopping cart (click here to select an order which will bring you to the shopping cart). Go to the drop-down menu first and select your country before entering the rest of your address in the other fields. The shipping options available for your country will show, which may include USPS as well as UPS options. If you have any trouble, feel free to email or call and we'll help you, as we do ship to all countries worldwide at this time.
Will the essiac be allowed into my country? What if my package is seized by customs? Will I owe VAT?
EU Customers: You will not owe any VAT when you receive your order. Before ordering, please confirm with you country's regulating bodies that they will allow herbal tea into your country (the vast majority do). You may want to tell them that the essiac herbal tea contains the eight herbs: blessed thistle, burdock root, kelp, red clover sheep sorrel, slippery elm bark, turkish rhubarb root, and watercress. However, we do not write these ingredients out on the customs slip. We simply write "herbal tea." We are not responsible for any orders that don't arrive to you because they are seized by Customs or other government organizations. We will work with you on making a second shipment attempt, perhaps with another carrier or with additional documents. We know that Australia simply requires a short note for them to accept this tea, and we always include that document when we send to that country. Customers are solely responsible for any fees or duties to receive our products into the destination country, with the exception of Canadian customers ordering 3 lb. 4 oz. or less who choose a USPS shipping method (we take care of Canadian customs and duties for the customer as we are able to do it at a guaranteed fixed rate with USPS - when choosing UPS, this does not apply). The same terms and conditions that apply to our domestic orders apply to international returns. Click here to read our return policy.
Do you ship to Australia?
Yes. We include a customs letter that has been allowing the tea to successfully be imported into the country.
Am I responsible for duties and customs?
We prepay duties and customs for parcels to Canada. For all other countries, you will be responsible for paying for any fees. This product is labeled as an herbal tea and is considered a food product. The declared value is the value of the goods, not the retail price that you paid.
How soon can I expect my shipment?
We ship on Tuesdays and Fridays unless you call in your order with an urgent need (use 1-978-504-9517). All orders received by 12:30pm Tuesday or Friday EST make the shipping cutoff. Orders coming in after those times go out on the next ship date, so please plan accordingly if your supply is running low. We ship US orders via Priority Mail and after we've shipped it takes 2-3 business days on average to arrive to you. For international orders, USPS speed varies widely but is 6-10 business days for most destinations, but can be up to four weeks because it can take weeks in some cases for orders to clear customs in particular countries at particular times. That is out of our control. You will receive a tracking number, but it won't update daily until the product lands in your country and makes it's way through customs. In some extreme cases there will be a few weeks with no update, but that doesn't mean the tea is lost. After five weeks of transit time we may determine that the parcel is lost. We will work with you to the best of our ability if the tea is determined to be lost by issuing a replacement parcel. If you choose UPS, you can expect quicker service and more transparent whereabouts.
Do you accept returns? Can I cancel an order?
You may review our return and cancellation policies here. In short, you can't cancel an order once it's placed, but you may mail returns back within 30 days of purchase for a refund.
What type of packaging will my essiac arrive in?
For a bulk order of 2 lb. and over, we send your fully blended herbs in a large clear food-grade polybag that is airtight and secured at the end with a ladder tie. A large, plain, sturdy bag is standard packaging for any herb order (not just essiac) over 1 lb. If you prefer, you may order your herbs in smaller 1 lb. bags or 4 oz. or 1 oz. packets. We offer these without labels on this site. If you prefer to have labels with instructions on your packets, please order from our sister site, Discount-Essiac-Tea.com. That site is popular with resellers of the tea, or those giving the tea as a gift. Of course, the fancier the packaging the higher the cost, but when you purchase essiac from either of our sites you'll still pay much less than what you'd typically pay for essiac from a health food store or from another website - AND you'll have the assurance that you are getting the real essiac because of our Guarantee.
Do you have photos of what these products look like?
Yes. Please browse through our essiac product listing to view photos of our various essiac order sizes and packaging.
How do I prepare my essiac tea?
Please visit this page: How to Brew Essiac Tea. There are brewing instructions using oz. as well as grams depending on what you are more comfortable with. Brewing just takes 10 minutes of your time once every 2 weeks. It's as easy as making pasta! While most will use the standard brewing instructions, if you are making this tea for children or small pets, you may appreciate the brewing instructions in small batches.
How come you don't recommend that we brew the tea twice like some companies do?
Rene Caisse did not recommend brewing the essiac twice, and we are sticking to her method of preparation 100%. If a company is selling you whole herbs rather than powdered ones, it would make sense to boil the herbs twice. However, Rene Caisse used powdered herbs and we use the same. See more about this in the film on Rene Caisse and her development of the essiac formula.
What if I am traveling and can't make my tea the usual way?
Great question. Whenever possible, it's ideal if you can have access to a fridge and/or stovetop to make the essiac. You can even take it with you in a thermos with some ice cubes if you're not flying. If it's a quick trip or you simply won't have access to your usual essiac, check out these instructions to make essiac one cup at a time. The effectivness is likely a bit less, but it's much better than nothing! If you are really in a pinch and you can't even make the essiac that way, you can order capsules from Herbal Balance For Life. They use our same exact formula, but again we don't recommend capsules unless it's the absolute last resort.
How should I store my essiac herbs?
Store the herbs in the same packaging they arrived in. If you open a bag and don't use the entire contents, you can re-tie the bag with a twist-tie such as what comes on a loaf of bread. The air-tight aspect is more important than storing it in a sealed container such as a Tupperware. Keep the herbs in a relatively cool, dark place (not in the refrigerator or freezer though - that's too cold). The most important thing is to keep the herbs away from a direct heat source such as a heater and out of direct sunlight. Unopened packets of herbs stay fresh for up to two years from date of purchase.
How should I store my essiac tea once I've brewed it?
Your brewed essiac tea must be refrigerated, since there are no additives or preservatives in this product. Do not store brewed tea for more than two to three weeks, because the tea may spoil after that time. Store your tea in a large pitcher. The type you'd use to store iced tea is fine. Open topped pitchers work best for convenient stirring of the herb particules. Dark bottles are not necessary, because your refrigerator is dark inside anyway (hence, no opportunity for the tea to experience light damage). Clean all containers thoroughly with hot water and soap before using them to store your tea.
How much essiac tea should I take?
Please visit this page to see our suggestions: Essiac Tea Serving Size Recommendations.
How should I take essiac tea for detoxification purposes?
Detoxification typically is something that is done for a fixed period of time. Many people choose a 3- or 6-month time period for detoxification. However, some choose to do shorter detoxifications. The standard serving size is 9 oz. of essiac tea per day split into three 3-oz. servings. Then there is the question of how long to wait between detoxifications. How long you wait between detoxification periods depends on your level of exposure to toxins, including chemicals, pollution, diet, etc. as well as how rapidly your body is able to purge the toxins. You should evaluate your health and how you feel on a regular basis to help you decide how long your program should be. Test results returning to normal is also a good indication that you can stop or move to the maintenance serving if you wish. Click here to read more about using essiac as a detox.
Does essiac tea interact with medications?
No, essiac does not interact with an prescription or over-the-counter medications.
When can I expect to receive my order?
If you order online or over the phone, we send your essiac order out on Tuesday or Friday, whichever comes first. We close orders to be sent Tuesday and Friday at 12:30pm EST. If you have an extremely urgent need to receive your order more quickly please call your order in at 1-978-504-9517 and it can be arranged in most cases. Most commonly the tea arrives in 2-3 business days starting from the day we shipped your order. You will receive an email notification on the day your order ships with your USPS or UPS tracking number. Note that even with the 2-3 Day Priority Mail shipping time, we still ship only on Tuesdays and Fridays, so the 2-3 day average of the shipment transit time starts counting then.
Do you provide tracking numbers?
We currently use USPS for most of our parcels, since they have the lowest cost and fastest service for the typical size essiac order. You will see an email with a tracking number after it's shipped. Please note that for international orders there won't be frequent updates, but that doesn't mean your order is lost. That is normal. While the product is overseas the tracking won't update. It will update again once it arrives in your country and clears Customs. Updates will increase in frequency as the order gets closer to your home. UPS orders will also have tracking numbers emailed.
If something seems amiss, we will respond promptly to any issue you might have with your order. We also will replace any lost package or package that fails to arrive in the usual timeframe immediately, with the exception of international orders. In general international orders can take 6-10 business days on average to arrive to you, but can sometimes take up to 4-5 weeks (this is rare) to arrive to you if they get held up at customs.
