The first step in choosing how much essiac you need is to answer the following question:

1. Do you have a health problem or issue that you'd like to improve?

If your answer is yes, we recommend that you take the Improvement of Health/Aggressive serving size (which is 9 oz. of tea per day). Now that you know the difference between the Improvement of Health/Aggressive serving size and the Maintenance serving size you can decide which you will plan to use for now. A small kitchen scale works well to weigh the herbs:* 4 oz. weight/113 grams is how much you'll need to brew 1 gallon of tea. Kitchen scales can be purchased at many retail stores, or see our list of recommended essiac supplies here. One gallon of essiac tea will last two weeks for a person taking the Improvement of Health/Aggressive serving size of essiac tea. You can weigh 2 oz. weight/56 grams of herbs to brew 2 quarts of tea, which will last 12 days for a person taking the maintenance serving size of essiac tea.

*The correct amount of herbs can be estimated with a measuring cup, but the only way to get it exact is to use a kitchen scale. The amounts roughly equivalent of 113 when using measuring cups are listed in the instructions that will come with your order.

Most Convenient Option. If you'd like the most convenient and easy option for preparing 1 gallon of tea at a time (but still a more economical option when compared to other brands), order the sealed 4 oz. packets of organic essiac tea. Each packet contains just the right amount of herbs to use when brewing a gallon of essiac tea. All you need to do is boil the water and empty one of the packets into the pot - no measuring required! These are a fan favorite as the most popular dosing schedule for our customers is the Improvement of Health/Aggressive Serving Size. Sealed organic essiac tea packets start each prepare 1 gallon of essiac tea.

Also keep in mind that herbs keep for up to 2 years from date of purchase, so ordering far ahead is fine.
